Student/Staff ID Card

ID cards for students are issued and then handed over to academic advisors. So, if you are a new student, you should talk to your advisor. It usually takes 2-3 weeks for student ID cards to be issued. You are required to show your student ID card when entering campus, on foot or by bus. If you don't have your student card yet, you can just show any document related to your studies at MAUN, or explain the situation to the security staff at the gate.

ID cards for staff are issued by the Department of Personnel, first floor at the Rectorate building. When the necessary documents (e.g. your work permit, a letter from your faculty about you starting your job) reach this department, they issue your card in 1-2 business days and you go there to get your staff ID card. They also create an Alparslan account for you so that you can use your e-mail and connect to Eduroam for the Internet. Security staff doesn't usually ask for your staff ID when entering campus as they are familiar with teaching staff, but when you are a new staff member, they may ask you to show your ID card.
